We are saddened by the passing of longtime Coast
Guard Auxiliarist Bruce Henderson, Nov. 26, 2006. His life was
celebrated at the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Jan. 14, 2007.
Mr. Henderson was a mainstay of Flotilla 64 for over twenty
years. He had served as Flotilla Commander before that and then,
as later, filled many staff positions in both the Flotilla and the
Division. He was captain of Division VI for two years in the late
1980's after which he was President of the Past Captains Association
for some time. He then handled the Training Fair for a number of
years. For the past few years he was the Flotilla Staff Officer
for Member Training. He also filled the MT position for the Division
for a number of years. He was qualified as an Instructor, a
Vessel Examiner and a Coxswain and was AUXOP qualified. He will be
missed.
