Bruce Henderson


We are saddened by the passing of longtime Coast Guard Auxiliarist Bruce Henderson, Nov. 26, 2006.  His life was celebrated at the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Jan. 14, 2007.  Mr. Henderson was a mainstay of Flotilla 64 for over twenty years.  He had served as Flotilla Commander before that and then, as later, filled many staff positions in both the Flotilla and the Division.  He was captain of Division VI for two years in the late 1980's after which he was President of the Past Captains Association for some time.  He then handled the Training Fair for a number of years.  For the past few years he was the Flotilla Staff Officer for Member Training. He also filled the MT position for the Division for a number of years.  He was qualified as an Instructor, a Vessel Examiner and a Coxswain and was AUXOP qualified. He will be missed.
